Hello lovely readers,

I hope your day is amazing. I’m SO excited to be writing to you today with a curated list of everything we’ve loved this October, and why you should love it too.

I’m all about five-star experiences that feel premium and meaningful without costing an arm and a leg!!! You deserve the finer things, and we’ve worked HARD this month finding all the new and wonderful top picks so you don’t have to. It’s a tough life trying new cafes, workout spots, activewear and restaurants, but someone’s gotta do it!

There’s a real mix in here, so we’ve got you covered in every area. Strap in and get ready to find your new favs.

Without further ado, welcome to OCTOBER RECO’MENDS, aka the things you’ll be screenshotting and sending to the gc.

SLOW MORNINGS COFFEE
You’ve probably seen their genius £1 coffee launch day all over your socials. Wandsworth Town’s newest independent café is officially open, and we couldn’t be happier for Noeyne and Victoria. They popped up at our Summer Send Off last month, and their coffee just hits the spot. It’s one of the best oat flat whites I’ve had in a while, and admittedly I’m an oat milk snob. So, get yourself to Slow Mornings for your next coffee date x

MATHAN
WOW. We are obsessed. Mathan is a small business run by brother and sister Hannah and Matt Dearden, who set out to elevate your activewear. They’ve just launched their new collection, and word on the street is that cobalt blue is in. We obvs love a small business, but they also have a real community feel, and we already know there’ll be plenty of crossover with our RECO HQ gang.

NOTE: ladies, the running shorts are verified squat and chafe proof!

RUNNA
I know you’ve probably heard of the rocket ship that is RUNNA, but it really does deserve a mention this month. Em and I have officially started marathon training. I can’t believe I’ve just written that down, but YES, we’re both running the London Marathon in April. AHH. All I can say is thank god RECO HQ will be open for our post long run needs.

If you’re also training for a race and need some structure, I can’t recommend RUNNA enough. It’s a super easy, beginner-friendly training programme that you can tailor to your preferences, timelines, goals and schedule. For all of us busy Ldn people, it’s a game changer. Decision fatigue is real, and this takes planning your runs off your to-do list.

LADY J NAILS
For anyone after a bit of well-deserved self care, Lady J is my Wandsworth Town pick for a fresh, autumnal set. It won’t break the bank, but it’s defo a more luxe experience than your standard express nail shop. The vibes in the shop are so cute, and they go the full nine yards with mani-pedi massages (a real must!!).

TAPAS ROOMS
We had our October office social here and were immediately transported to Spain. WOW. It’s such an authentic experience, from the vibes to the food and wine. If you need a cheeky Wednesday evening escape, or a venue for a private event, Tapas Rooms should be on your radar.

Well, there you have it, our October RECO’MENDS. Whether it’s a coffee date, a fresh set of nails, a new running programme or a little trip to the med without leaving SW18, we hope there’s something in here you’ll love as much as we do.

As always, we’d love to hear from you. Have you tried any of our picks, or got a fav spot we need to know about? Send us your recommendations and we’ll happily go and test them for you (someone’s gotta do it!).

Until next month
